    Description

    Up for bid is an antique Chinese wooden presentation box with brass mounts. The piece is about 4 1/4 inches square by 2 1/8 inches tall.  It is glazed in white, with typical colored decoration.  It is made of dark wood, though the lid seems like it may be a different type than the base.  The lid has a domed brass medallion with a single character flanked by two dragons, tacked to the top.  The corners are reinforced with tacked on brass tabs as shown.  It is not lined.  There are no marks.
    Condition on the piece is fairly good.  The corners are pulling apart slightly from shrinkage, and there are scratches and scuffs to the surface.  The brass pieces have darkened.  A neat old box.
