WINTER SPORTS/SKIER BADGE
Here is a SG (Silver Green) badge, Winter Sports, that needed to be “crimped” under before sewing.  This Silver Green material was first issued in 1938 to match the new uniforms.  But this badge has a WHITE BACKSTITCH or bobbin which previously had been black.! This means it was
available for ONLY ONE YEAR,
1947-1948, because
in 1948 the badge fabric was change to a Bright Medium Green making Winter Sports available with white backstitch for only one year, 1947. This is in Excellent NEW Condition, and is a very RARE badge.  Perfect for the COLLECTOR.  (In 1953 the name changed to Skier, however the design did not change.)
