    Description

Dual carb rebuild service. After purchase of this item, I will send you the shipping address and ask for the specific year and model of your machine. You will need to cover the original shipping. Designed for 96 XP or 97 spx, but if you have a different machine let me know and we can get you something for whatever you have. Comes with the following list below, which is pretty much everything needed to ensure reliable operation from your twin carbs. I make Seadoo carbs work, and last. I don't just open them up, install junk parts, and send them on their way. Keep in mind, 80% of the repairs I do are for people who "rebuilt" their carbs with cheap kits off eBay, and only after installing them realized the scam that exists in the Seadoo market with foreign aftermarket parts. I can help you avoid that.
New 30R7 Ethanol Resistant Fuel Lines (Made in USA)
New Oetiker Stainless Steel Fuel Line Clamps (Made in USA)
New Stainless Steel Internal/External Carb Screws (Made in USA)
New Carb Base Gaskets (Made in USA)
New paint, 2k (2 part) professional clear coat
New grease applied to all pivoting and rotating components
Upon receipt I will disassemble and inspect the condition of your carbs. The bodies and critical components will be ultrasonic cleaned in a professional ultrasonic cleaner to loosen up and clear out any varnish and corrosion throughout internal passages. I will then perform the following work:
Clean and remove all internal and external corrosion
Clean and inspect internal filters, replace as needed
Clean and inspect inlet and return ports, replace as needed
Verify pump check valve operation, replace as needed
Verify metering check valve operation, replace as needed
Verify spring tension, needle lever adjustment, replace as needed
Clean and inspect condition needle and seat, replace as needed
Verify proper operation of needle and seat
Inspect pump diaphragm condition, verify operation, replace as needed
Inspect metering diaphragm condition, verify operation, replace as needed
Clean jets and adjustment needles, verify operation, reset to factory specs, replace if needed
Verify spring height and lever arm form/preload, adjust as needed
    Replace all fasteners
Replace all fuel lines and clamps
    Apply paint and clear coat
Apply grease to all rotating, pivoting, or spring points
Set all adjustments to factory specification and verify correct
Set pop off to factory specifications
Pressure check carb bodies for leaks
If your seadoo is not stock, i will need to know, and I can retain original jetting and adjustments. Otherwise, everything will be set for a stock machine, so that once installed you should not have to make any tweaks. If you are unsure about jetting, I can help you set it up.
My goal here is not to run through and replace a bunch of parts with Chinese junk that is destined to fail after one season (or never work at all, in many cases), which is too often what happens. Instead my goal is to verify what is needed to get your carbs back into excellent condition where you can depend on them for years to come. I have been doing this on Mikuni diaphragm carbs for over 13 years and consider myself to be quite knowledgable on what is needed to ensure successful operation from your carbs. I work on carbs so much that I have nightmares about jetting in my sleep (trust me....you don't want to be me. But you do want me to be the one to rebuild your carbs). I will not use anything other than made in USA or OEM Mikuni replacement parts. If your carbs have major damage that may render them irreparable (bent/seized shafts, broken fasteners, or sever saltwater corrosion) please let me know to save us both the time and headache. I can do a lot more than the average person, but there is a point where I will deem carbs unworthy of repair. So let me know if that may be the case, or send some pictures and I can try to make an assessment. I can sometimes drill out fasteners but I do not make any guarantees. If a single carb body is toast I will assign a additional fee and supply a replacement used one.
If you have owned a seadoo for any length of time you know the gray lines destroy carbs and destroy engines, and maybe you have even seen the aftermath of them already (poor throttle response, bogging, eventually resulting in a blown motor). I have included a couple photos of what will inevitably happen to your carbs and filters if you don't change them, and also what often happens to the steel internal screws in the carburetors over time. Anyone who cares about their Seadoo and wants it to last should get rid of the gray fuel lines and the original oil lines ASAP. But it is also smart to clean out the internal filter and replace the screws with something a little more durable and a little more serviceable. Upon reinstalling the carbs, its best to use new carb base gaskets to ensure leak free operation so your engine isn't running lean.
All rebuilds will include the following internal/external replacement hardware:
Carb screws: Stainless steel allen head USA made hardware to eliminate corrosion and eliminate stripped fasteners during rebuilds. Includes the following, which is everything needed to replace all fasteners (inside and out) on a dual 787 carb setup.
2- Stainless Seat retaining screw - allen head
    2- Stainless lock washer
2-Stainless Needle retaining screw- phillips head
4-Stainless Metering block retaining screws - allen head (the factory screws always strip due to a combination of corrosion and their phillips head, but these will have neither issue)
8-Stainless External Cover screw, metering side- allen head (the factory screws are stainless but strip due to phillips head being unable to handle removal torque)
8-Stainless External Cover Screw, fuel pump side - allen head (same as above, get rid of the phillips head). Includes 4 long and 4 short for the non pump side.
    8- Stainless Lock Washer
    4- Stainless Flat Washer
Carb base gaskets: Brand new set (2 pcs) of carb base gaskets for twin Mikuni SBN 40 carbs on 787 engine. Quality gaskets made in USA from OEM material. If you are going to be revamping your ski you might as well put it back together right so you don't have to worry about air leaks. Chances are your old gaskets are due for replacement or get damaged during carb removal, best to be on the safe side and change them out before reinstalling the carbs. Send me a note if you have a different engine and I can get you different carb gaskets as needed.
Give me a call if you have any questions before purchasing or during installation etc, I am happy to help.
