Quarter Horse on Base
Approximate Measurements:
Including base measures 2 1/4" Tall,
3 1/8" Long, from Tip of Nose to Back Base,
It is 1 5/8" at the Widest point, on the Base.
The Horse is a Reddish Brown (CHESTNUT),
The base a Lighter Buff colored bisque (left vacant of any glaze); shows as a matte finish.
The DESIGNING ARTIST for this piece: Maureen Love Calvert.
This piece is a high gloss fired glaze finish on a Ceramic clay base,
that was fired to approximately 2300 degrees Fahrenheit.
All of the Hagen Renaker miniatures listed on our website are "Fired " finishes;
thus making them pieces of "China".
Most of the pieces undergo at least two (2), with some having three (3) firings in a Ceramic kiln.
Temperatures will vary
from 2500 degrees to 1650 degrees,
dependent as to a greenware (raw clay) firing,
a glaze firing, or an overglaze (lustre, gold, or platinum) firing.

This Quarter horse is the classic "Red" coloring, "CHESTNUT".
Air brushing, with a darker Brown tone
creates the shading:
it adds to the realism of the coloration.
The two (2) back stockings are cream colored.
The front
stockings are a lighter "red" tone of the body color.
The hooves are detailed with brown.
The face has a cream 'blush'.
The eyes are defined with black...
Shown are the actual TWO (2) Quarter Horses we currently have available.
*NOTE*
One (1) has the Black & Gold Hagen-Renaker, with California map shape, sticker,
stuck to the top of the base of the figurine.
The Other One (1) has the Hagen-Renaker Inc. & website,
stamped onto the flat surface of the bottom of the base, which is fired-on.
