Condition: Pre-owned. From an estate. Has "#46" in faded ink written above "W.F. Store was located in Berlin, PA. Measures 1 7/8" wide. From the early 1900s. W.F. (William Frank) Philson was the great-grandson of Robert Philson who started a mercantile business in Berlin with his uncle, John Fletcher. Robert's son, Amexander Hays Philson took over the business and I guess it kept going down the lineage. Interesting facts - Robert Philson was arrested and later aquitted in the 1794 Whiskey Rebellion. He was also a congressman from 1819-1821.
