    Description

Actually, this report goes into detail about the battle to start the use of postcards by the U.S. Postal Service.  On the front page of this Aug. 18, 1872 issue of the New York Tribune is the headline "Failure of the Postal Card Scheme".  Lots of news in this issue.  Some tiny foxing spots affecting very little or nothing.  Overall condition is very good to excellent.
