The Massachusetts Spy and Worcester County Advertiser for Wedensday, September 20th, 1826. Four pages.Front page has interesting medical articles on the efficacy of cow pox vaccination in Europe, the dangers of
administering Laudanum to infants and children, an experiment on heat regulation in the body involving putting a
frog in an oven and the influence of diet on the body involving a tiger. There is also a report from France on a
new method of dissolving bladder stones - early lithotripsy.

exhibits an exceptionally modern understanding of child psychology and an article on the latest discoveries in
Central Africa by Denham and Clapperton in their search for the source of the Niger River. Inside there are
reports from Colombia, Turkey and Greece while the back page is devoted to advertisements.
