The name says it all. Biohome Ultimate is the ultimate media for canister and sump filters.
Biohome Sintered Glass media provides the optimum environment to support beneficial bacteria growth. Beneficial bacteria grow very quickly in Biohome media to control ammonia and nitrite. Biohome recovers quickly after the use of medications.
Complimentary Filter Starter Balls (5 grams per lb)  are shipped with each order to speed filter maturity.  Product Information is included in each package with safe handling instructions and tips for successful use.
Biohome allows both nitrifying (aerobic) and denitrifying (anaerobic) bacteria to grow on and through it’s unique structure. This allows it to also reduce nitrates.
Biohome Media is a biological filter media and good mechanical filtration must be provided to insure the water passing through it does not contain any debris that might clog it.
